About Me!
Hi! I am a former 6th-grade world history and gifted education teacher in Central Florida. I left the classroom to pursue my PhD and work in Education Research. I am currently an education professor specializing in Social Studies Methods and Diversity in American Education!
I have sat on both sides of the teacher's desk for thirty-three years.
On the student side, I experienced k-12 in public schools, undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs.
On the teacher's side I was a substitute teacher for three years, a middle school world history teacher for four years, and an education researcher for five years (as a doctoral research assistant) and I am now in my fourth year as an education lecturer! (and yes, some of the years I was both a student and a teacher!).
I love to read, learn new things, and explore new places!
